If you are looking for some fun experiences in Pittsburg, you may want to visit PNC Park or Mount Washington. Whether you are looking to experience the roar of a crowd or some beautiful views, both locations have something special to offer.
PNC Park
PNC Park is the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It offers visitors a beautiful view of downtown Pittsburg in addition to exciting experiences like watching baseball games. The Park opened in spring 2001 and was the first ballpark with a two-deck design since 1953. This set-up allows spectators great sight lines, as the highest seat is only 88 feet away from the field. The park has a capacity of 38, 362 and is one of baseball’s smallest baseball stadiums.
The PNC Park has 69 suites, club seating, an outfield barbeque, and outdoor river terrace and river walk. There is a Jim Beam Left Field Lounge and Jim Beam Porch which offer guests a casual dining and sports bar atmosphere.
Along Federal Street and General Robinson Street, there are retail areas such as Diamond Pizza, Atrias Restaurant, and a merchandise shop. New food that is being offered this year is a pulled pork pierogi hoagie, Nashville hot chicken taco trio, cookie dough sundae, and campfire nachos.
If you are interested in going to see a baseball game, you can visit the Official Site of the Pittsburg Pirates to see when games are as well as buy tickets. There is a Ballpark App that you can download on your mobile device that lets you purchase and manage tickets, search for food and beverages, and unlock great offers.
Mount Washington
Mount Washington offers beautiful views of Pittsburg and is one of the most visited neighborhoods in the city. Not only does it have beautiful views, but also delicious restaurants where you can dine. Be sure to check out the Shiloh Grill, who offer a tasty brunch buffet. You could also try DiFiore’s Ice Cream Delite for a sweet treat. Other places to try are Redbeard’s Bar and Grill, Packs & Dogs, Grandview Bakery, Micro Diner, and J&J’s.
There are two inclines you can use to get up and down the mountain, the Duquesne Incline and Monongahela Incline. Prices are $5 for a round trip, and these Inclines take you up to some beautiful views.
Emerald View Park is a great place to go hiking, and the trails spread through Olympia Park, Mount Washington Park, and Grandview Park. You can also be adventurous and head down the steep face of the hill. On your way down, you will see Jim West’s Point of View sculpture depicting George Washington and Guyasuta, a Seneca leader.
