For more than 20 years, Beyond Bedtime Books has provided a variety of reading material for all ages. The shop specializes in used books along with a selection of new books. Whether you’re interested in fiction or looking for books for children, you’ll find it at the bookstore, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Caliban Book Shop

Caliban Book Shop is your all-in-one book buying destination for fiction, paperbacks, poetry, rare volumes, zines, and Indie books. Caliban caters to selections interesting to a wide range of fields for readers and collectors. The shop has an extensive inventory of 150,000 books, secured in a warehouse. While visiting the book shop, you’ll also have access to an independent record store where you can select from Americana, Indie Rock, Blues, Sixties Pop, and more. Both shops are open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

White Whale Bookstore

The White Whale Bookstore is a gem among independent destinations for avid readers interested in expanding their personal libraries. White Whale carries a diverse selection of reading material from local authors and independent presses from fiction and poetry to philosophy and history.

The bookstore is a hub for readers to gather to enjoy a variety of events such as writing workshops, author readings, book clubs, dedicated poetry nights for readings, and a special story hour for children. White Whale opens daily at 11 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

You’ll be amazed when visiting Amazing Books in downtown Pittsburgh. Voted twice as “Best in Pittsburgh,” the store features quality used books and vinyl records for your reading and listening pleasure. Amazing opens at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and Sunday. The store is closed Saturday and Monday.
