2019 Dodge Ram Truck 1500 Jim Shorkey CDJR North HillsThe all-new 2019 Ram 1500 has been fully redesigned with reduced weight, a bigger payload and increased towing capacity. The bold grille blends into the new headlamp design giving a dominant road presence, while the sculpted, aerodynamic profile improves airflow. Exterior

Six trim levels are available for the Ram 1500; Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, and the uniquely styled off-road specialist Rebel. Depending on the model, you can choose from a Quad Cab or Crew Cab, and a 6-foot-4-inch or 5-foot-7-inch bed. You also have the option of rear- or four-wheel drive.

Tradesman models feature black bumpers, grille and trim, automatic quad headlights, daytime running lights (DRL), heated door mirrors, integrated tailgate spoiler, and 18-inch steel wheels. The Big Horn adds chrome accented grille and bumpers, fog lamps, and alloy wheels. Stepping up to the Laramie gets you LED headlights, fog lamps, and taillights.

The unique features of the Rebel include a rugged black grille and bumpers, front tow hooks, skid plates, black over-fenders, and black wheels. Longhorn offers chrome grille, bi-function LED headlights, chrome side steps and trim, and LED bed lighting and overhead lamps, while Limited models have power-deployable side steps.

Interior

Designed as the workhorse of the lineup, the Tradesman features practical, hard-wearing vinyl flooring and seats with 20/40/20 split bench. You get push-button start, a 3.5-inch driver information display, cruise control, and air conditioning. The infotainment system has a 5-inch touch screen with integrated rear camera, Bluetooth, six-speaker audio, auxiliary input, and front and rear USB ports.

Big Horn models add cloth upholstery with 60/40 split folding rear seats, and a multifunction steering wheel, while the Rebel has cloth and vinyl bucket seats, and a 7-inch information display.

The Laramie offers leather-trimmed upholstery with heated and ventilated power adjustable front seats with memory driver’s seat. Also featured are a heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, dual-zone climate control, an 8.4-inch touch screen, nine-speaker audio, and smartphone integration.

The luxurious Longhorn features unique leather upholstery with heated reclining rear seats, navigation system, HD radio, satellite radio, and a CD player. The top-of-the-range Limited gives you premium leather bucket seats with heated and ventilated rear seats, a 12-inch touch screen, and a wireless charging pad.

Power and Performance

The standard engine in the 1500 is a fuel efficient 305 horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 producing 269 pound-feet of torque, and featuring eTorque mild hybrid technology. You will get up to 20 and 25 mpg for city and highway driving.

You can opt for a powerful 5.7-liter V-8 eTorque engine delivering 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It will return up to 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, and gives you a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
